Department of Prosthodontics , SPPGIDMS, celebrated ‘International Day of Older Persons’ with great fervor and enthusiasm on 1st October, 2022.
The Department has one of a kind fully functional Geriatric Unit for treatment of Older patients .The event began with a motivational lecture delivered by Prof. and Head of Dept., Dr. Shitij Srivastava .
Principal Dr. Gaurav Singh also addressed the students and Geriatric Patient’s.
Dr. Anshuman Chaturvedi delivered a lecture to all interns on the topic ‘Prosthodontics Beyond Complete Dentures’. Several competitions such as ‘Rangoli’ and ‘Selfie with grandparents’ were also organised and winners were felicitated with Certificates.
Dr Shruti Khanna and Dr Shivesh Singh delivered a lecture on ‘Nutrition’ and ‘Cleaning and maintenance of Dentures’ to the elderly patients .Free samples for Denture maintenance and sensitivity kits were also distributed. All in all it was a wonderful celebration of the International Day for Older Persons by the Department of Prosthodontics, SPPGIDMS
